Sid has 20+ years of global experience in process engineering, project management, operations management, and leadership in technology development and engineering in the beverage and fuel ethanol industry. His specialties include complete process design of distillery processes, starting from processing of various starch and sugar feedstocks for alcohol, design, startup of distilleries, and process efficiency improvement.

Sid’s alcohol career started at Jim Beam as a process/project engineer, and with subsequent promotions became the Distillery Manager at Booker Noe - Beam’s largest distillery. Sid improved plant performance every year during his tenure. He left Beam to pursue research in the fuel ethanol, ultra-pure/ultra-dry alcohol, and biofuels industry. Following a 3-year stint in biofuels technology development, he returned to Beam as Vice President of Corporate Engineering, where he led the Process/Project Engineering, Project Finance and Capital, and Packaging R&D groups.

Sid left Beam in January 2011 and started his own consulting company providing design, startup and optimization services to the beverage alcohol and commercial alcohol industries.

Sid also has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a M.B.A., and is a LEAN Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt.
