McCracken Curve Distillery

McCracken Curve Distillery is a family-owned distillery, based in Montgomery, Indiana. We produce bourbon, single malt, vodka, and apple pie moonshine (hard cider). We have bootstrapped this enterprise, with family and community embedded into our model, supporting great-tasting products and pricing to value. 

We are small, focused, and understand the importance of strong partnerships with the trade. We have served for five generations in this farming community. At the same time, as a small family distillery, we are flexible and eager to earn and grow your business. 

While we work hard to create high-quality product, we also understand our responsibility to develop markets, engage with customers, and ultimately drive business: 
1. For our base location in southwestern Indiana (at the intersection of I-69 and US50), we do this with feet on the street, cultivating relationships and serving customers. Daviess County and greater Evansville are key local markets.
2. For the rest of Indiana, we cultivate contacts and focus on locations with interest and potential, particularly around Indianapolis.
3. For our other target market of Dallas/Ft. Worth, we have had a presence for 30 years and also cultivate local contacts and support directly. 
4. For the rest of Texas, we support as demand warrants.

We currently do not serve other states, so that we can focus on Indiana and Dallas/Ft. Worth. We will periodically evaluate the right time to expand into other markets.

McCracken Curve is a family distillery, based in the rolling hills of scenic southern Indiana. McCracken Curve is also a place – where US Highway 50 arcs across the original McCracken land patent near Montgomery, in the heart of Southern Indiana Amish country. We strive to create spirits with character (that taste damn good), serve our community, and honor our roots.The distillery is small, but we believe this hand-crafted approach makes better product, and we hope that each bottle provides a taste of what really matters in life — family, friends, and the time you spend together.

The Kavanaughs have been part of Daviess County for five generations, when Timothy Kavanaugh emigrated from Ireland after the Great Famine in search of a better life. The original farm remains part of our family and is the inspiration for HOMEPLACE BOURBON, which features the farmhouse on the label and local grain in the bottle.

Ballyloughan Castle is the Irish ancestral home of the Kavanaughs, where for centuries they held court and battled invaders. Today, BALLYLOUGHAN CASTLE rises once more, as an exceptional single malt whiskey, produced by their descendants in southern Indiana.

As Hoosiers, STAR 19 VODKA honors Indiana as the 19th US state. The twinkling field of stars on the deepest blue label matches the clear crispness of the handcrafted, 7X distilled, premium charcoal-filtered spirit within.

There is a mischievous side as well. Our 40 proof McCRACKEN CURVE APPLE PI MOONSHINE is for the bootlegger with brains. While (mostly) upstanding citizens, those early relatives were known to make their own moonshine as well. Now our stills run strong and free, and people can’t get enough of this super-smooth spirit, which is a combination of Grandma's apple pie and the twinkle in her eyes.
